Rough Night in the First Round

Here are the ranking at the end of the First Round of play –

I wouldn’t want to be the one to say “I told you so, Jim.” but I told you so. Once again out of the gate too soon without staying power. Better luck in the coming rounds but I wouldn’t count on that Michigan thing to help you out.

But look who has come on, little Eileen dethroning her brother for the crown. Does she have the juice to hold on to her early lead? Many doubt it. Lucky emotional picks without the depth of a keen basketball savvy. Let’s just see how far she goes.

Let’s not forget the “Quiet One”, Norah Sweeney. She is holding her own and maintaining second position. Will she hold the reins back until those critical later rounds or will she make a break for the lead. Who knows?

And look who showed up, last years Ardoon Madness winner, Roy Pekoc. His bracket somehow magically appeared. There is rumor of a protest challenging the timing of his bracket submission. Oh, this is getting too political. Last year’s winner with the surprise bracket. Calls for an investigation.

No birthday magic for Lola, aka Laura Sweeney. Too bad poor Liam is being dragged down by the weight of having to carry all his grandma’s “silly” picks. Liam may want to go it alone next year and lose the baggage.
